George Washington. From card back:"1732-1799. Planter at Mt. Vernon, legislator. Made a mason in the lodge at Frederickburgh, VA. Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army in the War for American Independence. First President of the Republic. Most Illustrious American Freemason of all time. His statue faces the Masonic Home and Hospital at Wallingford, Conn.

Veteran of Seige of Louisbourg and campaigns against French and Indians. Brigadier General in Continental service and Major General of Militia. Died from wounds during repulse of British raiders from Danbury, where a monument stands over his grave. Likeness unauthenticated."
