Illinois Lodge of Research

Louis L. Williams

Masonic Library

From time to time, the library will sell from it's collection books that have no Masonic interest or for which multiple duplicates are already in the catalog.  Proceeds from these sales will be used to improve the existing library with acquisitions of additional books, or improvements in the library.

Books will be listed on eBay normally, but some may be listed here also.  The Illinois Lodge of Research also sells books and some may be offered here in the future.

The library is constantly looking for books to add to our collection. We acquire them from private sellers, donations and auction. Our goal is to keep as many of the available books in a publically accessible area. As a result generally the library will not honor requests to 'stand down' on buying or bidding on books. The library instead follows this policy:
1) The item must be going into an institutional library, not a personal collection.
2) You must bid before the library.
3) You must remain the high bidder (ie. if you are outbid - we will resume bidding to ensure it ends up in a public collection).

The library has an extensive collection of Illinois Grand Lodge proceedings. A lodge wishing to complete or start a library can receive from our collection proceedings. The only thing we ask is that the requestor be responsible for all shipping or arragements to pickup. We have nearly all years (except very early). You can contact the general librarian mailbox for more information or to express interest.

Also available are books from our parent organization, the Illinois Lodge of Research. You can contact us, or the Lodge of Research for more information on purchasing any of the following titles.
